Hezbollah are just like any other terrorist organisation. They fire
missiles into Israel and then hide behind innocent people.
When Israel send missiles back and innocent people get killed
or injured, the arab nations complain, and all the do-gooders and human rights campaigners come down on Israel.
BUT no one is complaining about Hezbollah sending missiles
into Israel and killing and injuring innocent civilians.

Not only was it a great strategy but Isreal has not been fighting back as hard as they could because of that. They have been selecting targets based on minimizing civilian casualties. The civilian casualties that have occured are a mere fraction of what Isreal could inflict if they decided they really wanted to end the conflict quickly.
Like all terrorist groups the Hezbollah are cowards and are more interested in inciting hatred between groups than actually getting involved in an all out war they would lose.

Hezbollah knew exactly what they were doing. Support for their orginisation in Lebanon - and throughout the middle east for that matter - is stronger than ever. Unfortunately, this couldn't have turned out better for them.
I'm not sure what Israel was thinking, did they think they could kill every member of Hezbollah? Did they think bombing all these civilian targets was going to teach everyone a lesson? No one in the middle east will fault Hezbollah with this disaster. All they see is Israel bombing civilians using US technology. They're not going to give them respect, they're going to see them as cowards. A number of these people would love to die in the fight against Israel, for them, it's a way to die with honor. This number is only going to go up with each target Israel hits.

Of course it's part of their strategy. It's also a part of Iran and Syria's strategy. Iran and Syria are using Hezbollah to raise a public and political outcry against Israel, and hoping to provoke a genuine war between Arab states and Israel. If they can show enough dead children and woman on the news, and if Israel strikes either Syria or Iran, they could possibly get it. I'm not saying it will happen, but it certainly could.

It is a classic part of gorilla warfare. The actions of the gorillas force the larger power to act against the people. This further alienates the people and garners support both among the people that the gorillas are operating within and with the outside world. Watching the news coverage you can see that it is working rather well. Many people including the Secretary General of the UN do not seem to have enough education to understand an asymmetrical conflict.

I hope you have independent and verifiable sources regarding the placement of Hezbollah weapons.
Because I doubt that the weapons are in schools, hospitals, and other public places.
Of course this is what Israel will say to justify the Bombing of such targets.
Please read the following article and you will see:
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/07/28/hezbollah/
And also
http://www.hrw.org/english/docs/2006/07/30/lebano13881.htm
Also check the website for amnesty international:
http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/ENGMDE150702006
It claims both parties are targeting civilians on purpose.

of course it was strategy. Thes groups have always used civilians as human shields. They are not stupid. They use the press to get attention and it works.
By the way, where are the Hollywood liberals during this crisis? They must be confused. They have to support Israel, all of their agents, managers and producers are Jews....Such confusing times.I guess they will have to think about it while getting picked up in their SUV limos on the way to the protest against high gas prices and their concern for global warming.
sorry man...just cranky today

Do you really believe that Hezbollah hide its soldiers in hospitals to protect them.
I think if this was true then all lebanease would have hated Hezbollah for that not hated Israel !!!
What's more, Israel destroys infrastructure of water, electricity and bridges , is that because Hezbollah soldiers are hiding under bridges, swimming in water stations, and hide inside elctrical wires?!!!

I think it was definitely part of their plan. They know that the people in that region have no tolerance for Israel and are just waiting to blame them for everything. So yes, this is their plan.
Isn't it amazing that the people on this site actually refuse to hold Hezbollah accountable for anything? I truly believe that hatred for Israel is something that is taught from childhood forward.

This strategy works every time. The Arabs of Gaza, Judea/Samaria have already perfected this technique.
They know Israel is going to be reluctant to fire at civilian institutions. And for each baby-shield they cause to be sent to Muslim Paradise, they get pity points from the world AND excuse to libel Israel.
Yes, we live in interesting times.
