I do not know where you live, but in almost every town or city of any size in the country you can find food pantries where you can get free food. You should check with your city hall for locations near you. Other good sources are Catholic and Lutheran churches, these denominations are the most likely to have food pantries and even if they don't, they will tell you of any within your area. Most food pantries only allow you to come for food once a month, but if you visit a different pantry each week you have a continuing source of food. Also, most food pantries, especially in large cities are supposed to serve people within a specific area, but if you go to a pantry and you are not in their specific area, they will give you a one-time supply of food. Im sorry about that.Try calling your local churches and telling them the situation sometimes they have food pantrys at the churches and all you do is go in and they will give you staple items.Or you could try your local salvation army they do the same thing.I have been through this before everything will be ok things will work out i wish you the best of luck.

Call around to churches and cities or libraries.... most cities have FOOD BANKS. Many churches have food banks that are open at least one day per week as well as an evening where they serve food to the public. What city are you in?
