Some people do legitimately have addictive personalities, but I believe that a will to overcome addictions is stronger than the biology of it.

well, this has a genetic predisposition along with a personal will factor. some people genetics makes them addictive more than others but that also depends on many other factors. an addict is a sick person who needs help, not judging.

Born tendencies but people's lives are under their own control. I have a tendency to want a lot of what I like, a trait I must keep my eye on.

With alcohol, it has been proven there is a hereditary addiction. The other things are not established.
