Apologise if this has been posted already thought i had posted it but its vanished!
I had unprotected sex 10 days ago, im on microgynon 30 and have been taking them correctly and have not missed taking one and have been having the following symptoms:-
1) Feeling sick but not actually been sick
2) Stomach cramps
3) Lower back ache
4) Head ache for the past two days
5) restless nights
6) feeling very hot even though its alot cooler today
7) very tired
Is is possible or just coincidence that im not feeling very well? Also how come some women get pregnant whilst on the pill?

All of that is symptoms of pregnancy but at the same time all pregnancy symptoms could be other things. Could be a side effect of the pill or you could be coming down with something.
Nothing is 100% on preventing pregnancy unless you don't have sex. All people are different so it is possible to get pregnant while on any type of birth control.

its difficult to say. It could just be ur period or an illness mixed with heat. It is unlikely that you will get pregnant on the pill as its 99% affective. Most people who do have either missed a day or been on antibiotics or gotten drunk and then thrown up. If your worried then as soon as ur period is late take a test. try not to worry as that can affect it. The pill makes your body think its pregnant which is why its unlikely to get pregnant on the pill but you are still at risk of STI's. Hope it works out for you and ur not too stressed!

ok im a pro at pregnancy ive got 9 kids 2 of which are pill babies.so my advise is get a test done just to be sure but if it was only 10 days ago its too early for symptoms but you could have got pregnant whiled on the pill before the 10 days.just get a test thats the only way you will know for sure good luck.

Firstly be calm and take a pregnancy test.
But just to worry you......
I was taking a higher dose pill than you, also being very careful never missing or taking a pill later I now have a FOUR year old daughter who was conceived whilst I was on the pill.
Take a test and put your mind at ease.

No contraceptive is 100% reliable and taking some medications cause the pill to become less effective. Take a pregnancy test after 14 days, but I'm sure you're fine.

I'd be surprised if feeling sick would be a symptom of pregnancy in such an early stage. Stomach cramps would indicate the onset of a period or a miscarriage. Most people ovulate in the midst of their cycle. I'd give it a few days if I were you. You might just have a virus. People who fall pregnant on the pill usually do so because something upsets the balance - diarhoea.

were you feeling poorly about 10 - 12 days ago witha tummy bug? This is usually the main reason why you can get pregnant on the pill, as its not going to spend enough time in your body to be able to do anything. perhaps just do a test to be on the safe side but if you are not late for a period I wouldnt worry to much.

very possible indeed. i have a god son from the same circumstance. im not too sure why the pill fails to do the job sometimes, i blame his "super swimmer"
but just to rule it out, id take a test. and then get advise from a professional, it could be anything, but only a test is going to ease your mind.

If you have been on any kind of antibiotic, it could have affected your pill and may cause you to get pregnant. I would take a test just to be sure.

Sorry to say but it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill
thats how i got my first
its only 90% safe
