In Lebanon today, I have the right to ask a really naif question, did the holocaust really happen?

The holocaust has happenned maybe. I don't know. . I can't be sure of anything, I am sorry. I am lebanese, and I see what is happenning everyday and I see how the western media is showing it, I am sure that they are lying. Maybe aljazeera is biased against westerners, but it's showing more truth than cnn and other western medias. The western media doesn't show 20% of the ugly crimes of the israelis and they show 100% of the killings in Israel. So I can't be sure if the holocaust happenned or not or anything that is for israel's and USA's interest. Those 2 can use anything for their interests. Even yesterday, at the UN, israel was saying that the ugly crime in Qana (for the second time), was bcause hizbulla is hiding among civilians. This is not true. They are blaming Hizbulla for ALL crimes they are committing in Lebanon, for all the 750 deaths until now most of them women and children (did you hear about it on CNN?). Are hizbullah hiding behind the bridges or at the airport ...

Israels creation was an international decision, but I would have wished it was created in one of the europian countries, or in USA, because they are terrorists. I am not satisfied with its creation. If they really wanted peace, they would't have chosen this part of the world. Anyway, I don't care if the holocaust happenned or not because I didn't do it, I am not guilty. A crazy racist did that in the 40's. Now I have a more important thing to think about. what is happenning in Lebanon and Palestine is similar to the Holocaust but always justified, so it's worse.
HizbuLLah is from the folk, you can't kill hizbullah, because you can't kill a whole folk. Israel is trying to do this, they are failing, and they are not talking about their failure. You will hear of it soon, they won't be able to do anything. You won't believe me but it's the beginning of the end. The end of ALL OF US.

You are very naive as are many people. Israel has no reason to target civilians in Lebanon. Think about it logically, what is there to be gained? Nothing but a lot of bad PR. They are targeting the infrastrucure that supports the terrorists.

As for the holocaust, go visit Poland and come back and tell us it never happened. Do you also believe in the tooth fairy? Being Lebanese is not a reason to switch off your brain and not think logically.

Your country (read government) is not being attacked, but rather the area where the terrorists are hanging out and the infrastructure which supports them which happens to be within your borders. If your army had rooted out the terrorists as they agreed to none of this would have happened.

First, yes the holocaust did really happen. There can be no doubt about it. It wasn't just Jews sent to the camps either, but of course it was largely Jews, and any admitted Jews would be targetted to be sent off to be exterminated.

Secondly, it is true in my opinion that Israel has a right to defend itself against Hezbollah and Hamas. Both organizations have openly avowed to destroy Israel and eradicate Jews from the middle-east. Both provoke Israel, and they know eventually Israel is going to respond with force.

And there is no doubt they have used civilians as shields. There are a couple of pictures in the press of Hezbollah launching sites in civilian areas ... and the fact is that a Canadian official working in the UN sent of a cable indicating that Hezbollah guerillas were using the UN compound as a shield for them, hoping to fight from within 10 feet of a UN building. So there is some documented proof ... and it certainly is an effective way for Hezbollah to fight Israel.

Having said that, Israel has to account for their fighting strategy. They have killed hundreds of innocent people, many children, so that they could destroy Hezbollah's cache of weapons without losing lives on their own side. Not only is it stupid tactically (they are obviously losing in the court of world opinion), but it is wrong morally. If they want to disarm Hezbollah, then go in and disarm them, and take the losses they need to take, get rid of the ACTUAL terrorists, and leave the innocents alone. It is definitely true that Israel really doesn't seem to care at all about all the innocent lives lost. They act as though their neighbors will eventually get rid of Hezbollah and Hamas if they inflict enough punishment. Someday, it is going to occur to them that isn't the case. (a) Too many people in surrounding countries have lost family members to Israel actions to make an easy peace; and (b) both Hezbollah and Hamas are anti-Semitic and would want to get rid of Israel even if the Israel's had never killed even one Arab.

The ONLY way I see peace ever coming into this area is if outside interests (i.e., Europe) deliver such an overwhelming force that Hamas and Hezbollah have to concede and disarm. And Europe is never going to do this, because they would lose too many of their own sons to Hezbollah and Hamas attacks before those groups were disarmed.

I live in the US, and we have news media in both Israel and Lebanon. We see exactly what is happening, and we are left to draw our own conclusions. Our media is not run by our government. We see first hand what is going on. We can easily see that Lebanon is being hurt far worse than Israel. It's clear to us.

You refuse to hold Hezbollah accountable for anything, yet you question the fact that the Holocaust happened? What is wrong with you?

The airports and bridges was blown for one reason, no more terrorists could come from other countries into Lebanon to assist the Hezbollah. Apparently you have access to a computer, try reading BBC news about Iran and what the Iranian President stated. This was never posted in an American paper that I know of. I am one that reads the news daily.

Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

Yes, the holocaust really happened.
While it's good to challenge your mind with determining what's real and what's propaganda, I would seek out those people in your life who could help you grow in your ability to develop discernment. If you can't find an open minded mentor, countiue to seek a higher education. Your goal should be to learn how to think for yourself without relying on a single media source to totally influence your perceptions.
