EEEEEK... the only thing worse than butt cleavage is PDT... (public display of thong).
So if you have to choose, leave the panties at home.

Forget the butt-cleavage, too. Yuck.
Save some for the imagination.

No underwear will probably turn guys on more, but you run the risk of them jumping to conclusions about your readiness level for sex or your promiscuity in general (unless those conclusions are correct, and you don't care). The thong is sexy in its own right, and probably doesn't lead to the same wild assumptions.
