I know everyone says that the man should be on top if trying to conceive but, what if he has a short or smaller than normal penis? Wouldn't it be better if I were on top. I have three children but I have never actually tried getting pregnant before.

Best Positions
The man-on-top position works well when trying to conceive. Place a small pillow under your hips following intercourse so that your cervix basically rests in the pool of semen for a short time (perhaps 20 minutes or so). This will allow the sperm time to easily swim up through the cervix. (Important Note: Do not use a large pillow, or you may sabotage your efforts, since the sperm may then puddle behind your cervix. Not a good place to be when trying to reach that egg.)
If you have a tipped uterus, you may have better luck having intercourse from behind (hands and knees position). By having intercourse in this position it allows the sperm better access to the cervix.
Positons to Avoid
For most women it makes sense to avoid straddling their partner while making love -- woman-on-top, sitting or standing -- since this can cause the semen to leak and may result in fewer sperm making their way to the egg.

i would think him on top is even better if he is smaller. a woman lying on her back is simply going to retain more sperm. have you ever been prescribed a vaginal gel or ointment? it always says to insert at night and try not to sit up/move around - so more of the medicine stays where it needs to be. same theory for sperm. certainly women get pregnant from any position, but if you're trying to increase your odds, i'd have him on top.

I think to maximize your efforts..him being on top is best...but like others said, you can get the job done too being on top. I have read though that the best position for getting pregnant is doggy style

I got pregnant on top the 2nd time and the first time in the shower standing up.... I dont think that it is a must for him to be on top... Have fun with it though!

Although I read that it works best with him on top, or doggy style (as it has deeper penitration), it should work most ways. Just remember to stay lying down for 20mins afterwards (preferably with your hips slightly raised)

ok, i'm partial to ALL communicate. yet i ought to 0.5 to assert hi-proper of those 2. The intense tops are somewhat lovable and the low tops educate your socks which i do not somewhat like. yet they're both lovable. My opinion of my well known communicate are the X-hi's you an see them on the web website they bypass as a lot as like your knees or perhaps a touch below. yet they're soo cool!

i concieved with him on top and then put a pillow under my hips for half an hour so the sperm could run downwards! make sense i suppose.
