I am in a young entrepeneurs class and my teachers and backers are very excited about the idea. The research tells me that I could make a large profit if I make the proper connections. If there are any truck drivers out there that have some input I would be glad to hear it. The services I will offer will be wash wax polish and interior detailing. All people like to live and work in a clean enviroment but not all people pick up after themselves or take care of there stuff. and there are some that do take care of there trucks and just want that new vehical smell and look back.

the mobile wash and wax is all of truck stops and rest areas. I've seen several people doing this, so it's not very original. Connections with truckers are not what you need, they are mobile and always on the move. What you need are connections with the gas stations that they frequent. Consider a profit sharing arrangement or "rent" idea.

Be warned: Mobile Wash and Wax is also a cover for prostitution in many places, i.e. He paid me $200 to detail the interior of the semi officer. Then...I decided to have sex with him. Make sure you intentions are clear when you start to avoid problems down the road.

start mobile semi truck wash detailing company suggestions

Well done! You've got a pretty good idea there. It has its problems, mostly logistic, that you will need to resolve.

a) You'll need a self contained washer, because you can't count on a reliable water supply if you are truly mobile.

b) Runoff can pose a pollution problem. Can it be mitigated?

c) Unless everybody you know has a rig, you'll need to market your idea/service. You'll need to quantify your target market, and use the most effective media to reach them. (radio, trade publications, etc.)

Good Luck!

Find an existing business similar to the one that you want to create and work there for a while. Learn what problems you will face and what solutions from the mistakes and successes of your employer. The experience will help flesh out your ideas.
