That really isn't a casual thing. Everyone is mentioning the "18 year commitment" but it is more than that. How about the child's emotional health of having a man who is no more than a "donor" for a dad?? That is something that sticks with THEM forever. There are fewer fathers in families today than any other time in history. Perhaps it is because of this casual attitude towards having children. Please don't consider this with a "neighbor." How about with a long term committed partner??

You will have to pay child support for the rest of the child's life that she stays with the mother. Unless you plan on marrying this girl- which it doesn't sound like you are, it's not a good idea. You will get married one day, and have a beautiful family of your own, and you wouldn't have to explain to your wife, and or children that you have another child, and have to pay child support to it, and have to visit it when you have your own family to support. Look down the road into the future. Not in the "now". Be smart. Get some good character in your life that defines who you are.

Hmmm tough one. are you ready for a kid and considering it? Or do you want advice on how to tell her No way?
just remeber at the end of the day, a child is an eighteen year commitment at the very least, and are you ready, I mean really ready to become a father?

Do you want to be bound to this person for the rest of your life? Do you have the financial means to support a baby?

Let her biologial clock tick on with out you. This doesn't make for a good way to have a family.
