The market seems split among those who feel that consumers will stop spending because of a lower housing market and high fuel costs, and those who feel inflation will not excelerate and companies are performing well enough to stay out of a recession.
Many people are taking defensive market positions in case the Fed continues to raise interest rates. The next 6 months should see
a very modest growth in the economy as investors wait and see what geopolitical world issues influence our potential for economic growth.

Grim...for those of us who work our butts off and still don't have any money or anything. For those people who don't do much and they were born with the money their lives won't be changed much I'm sure!
