We all are expected to have a perfect love. It's what we have been indoctrinated to believe. It starts out with cartoons....the girl gets into trouble...the man saves her (Dudley Do-Right saves the fair Nell)..then they ride off into the sunset to live happily everafter....end of story. We go into grade school boy meets girl, boy saves girl to live happily ever after (Hans Solo and Princess leia) ... end of story. Most of our movies as adults are the same tired story line. Women are vistims...men are rescuers...they then ride off into the sunset to live happily ever after (all in 30 - 90 minutes) ...end of story.

Men expect this and so do women. But the real culpret is out immediate gratification society we live in. We date (fun) we have sex (much more fun) we get married (fun) then we have to change the type of fun we have becasue we are now responsible adults who eventually have children....but wait we still want to have fun! Marriage isn't as fun as dating and we scratch our heads trying to figure out why? Eventually we tired of scratching our heads and look for diversion (hobbies, shopping and affairs). We decide that this relationship is bad becasue "I'm not happy" I need a new one...only I'm not happy here either..I need a new one etc etc. Our society has been trained to trash and replace rather than retain and repair. Combine this with a total lack of understanding for what a normal relationship is supposed to look like and whammo!...you have just helped another lawyer make his mercedes benz payment!

How to break this vicious circle? Who knows but try this...
