YES!! Fatigue has been my BIGGEST symptom. I'm also a very active person usually and being so exausted has been really frustrating! During my first trimester, I slept an average of 14 hours/day. It was 'sleepy' fatigue. Now that I'm 36 weeks pregnant, it's more like exaustion. I don't need to sleep, really...I just have a really hard time getting my fat @$$ off the couch ;-)

It's totally normal. Think of all the amazing things your body is doing right now. People say to 'listen to your body,' and I think that's good advice. Just rest as much as you need to and you'll be fine.

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!!

I'm almost due and have noticed I am very tired...have been for the past month and a half. I think it could be because of the heat. I try to drink lots of fluid, water, green teas, natural lemonade. I eat a little bit at a time, to satisfy hunger, and more often than usual, like every three to four hours. I was also very active prior to pregnancy and now I have to take a nap every single day or I can't make it all day. It takes me longer to get things done. Just take it easy. Babies do sap much of your energy but, you are in the final stages so it will be over soon enough. Be patient and take breaks when you can. No one in their right mind will condemn you for taking care of yourself and baby. You will get your energy back soon enough. Then you will be expending it taking care of baby!
If you are overly concerned, tell your ob, but it is probably just the pregnancy taking alot out of you.

Yes. I am 10 weeks pregnant and all I want to do is sleep. Whenever I get up I get really dizzy. Being lightheaded and dizzy is caused by the excess blood that your body has made becasue your pregnant. When your pregnant your body makes almost double the blood you already have and this messes with your blood pressure. My mom is a nurse in the labor and delivery and she just told me to slow down because my body isn't used to having so much blood. Just try to get as much rest as possible and take it slow. Don't get in a hurry becasue this can make the lightheadedness worse.

I sleep all the time too. I get lightheaded everytime I just get up out of a chair. I am 16 weeks pregnant and it's been bothering me since about 6 weeks. I wish it would go away. I am in the same boat you are. I know they say no caffeine but a can of coca cola really helps get my energy up.

YUP...I am 23 weeks and I get this too. First off...I was told I have to drink LOTS of water. The heat is a big factor in this. And I had a blood test that showed I was anemic..so that makes me tired. But I hear ya...I feel like I am gonna collapse...sometimes...I am so tired. And I work F/T so I blame it on that. LOL!

It's probably the heat contributing to your fatigue. It is normal. Baby takes a lot out of you.

You should get your blood pressure and sugar checked. When I was pregnant I was on blood pressure meds. They made me extremely tired and lightheaded( I even passed out once) because they made my bp too low.
