I've been married for almost 19 years, and the subject of cheating never comes up because we were both sure before we got married that neither of us would, and I can say without a doubt that neither of us ever has. If you have only been dating for 10 months and you already have him swearing on bibles, you have a rocky road ahead. If you have to ask the people on this site whether you should trust him, you never will.

You have to be careful. Have you notice that criminals in court would swear on the bible and be as guilty as sin? Also why would anyone swear on the bible? Think about it. If you feel that you can't trust him then that means he is cheating. If you want to catch him in the act then go right ahead. Then you will know if he is believable or not.

Follow your instincts, If you think he cheats you have a reason for that. No the Bible does not matter. Sorry but it's true. Some people will do anything to get what they want and hide what they don't want you to know. You need better proof or swallow and just put up with it. The other option is to just get out of the relationship. If he's not cheating and he get's sick of you talking about it he'll leave you or do it just because he's tired of you asking him if he has or not. Go with your instincts!

Umm, let's put it this way. There are mass murderers, rapists, thieves, and the like all in jail that have put their hand on the Bible and swore to tell the truth and nothing but the truth and have been convicted beyond a shadow of doubt as to their guilt.
The Bible is a book. It only holds value to those that truly believe in it. And even then can one lie with their hand on the Bible? Absolutely.
If you had him put his hand on the Bible and swear perhaps you have reason for your gut to be in knots on this subject. Perhaps not. But don't use that as a proof of innocence or guilt.

Sure. As long as he hasnt given you any reason to doubt him. Swearing on the bible doesnt really prove his honesty. Its just another way of being dramatic. Talk to him about all of your fears and see how it goes. Constant nagging and accusing will only make him pull away.

Well, it depends on what kind of a person he is!! If he is too religious and is swearing on the bible, there is less chances that he is cheating.
But when he is telling you that he loves you, you should trust him. Be optimistic always.

10 months is a long time to be in relationship with someone and not trust them. So yes, you should trust him. If he ever gives you a reason not to trust him, then you may have to be a little skepitcal and curious.
-A relationship is about trusting one another and being honest.

If he has never given you a reason not to trust him then trust him. Men can be pigs but not all. If he loves you he will not cheat

That is what all persons do when they are married in the Church, and it turns out that more than half of them go back on their word...Its how much Faith you have in your partner that can allow you to proceed with an open heart...its the risk we take for loving someone.

Swore... swore on the bible.
What made you think he cheated? You could trust him, or not. The fact that he swore on the bible doesn't mean he's not lying.
