An Internet service provider is the way you would connect to the Internet as a service provided by a company. Their are various types of connections, Dial-up, ISDN line, Broad band such as: DSL, Cable, Satellite such as: T1, T2, T3, OC3, etc...
Most Internet connections use the TCP/IP protocol to operate.

I live in an area 4 miles from the nearest town S.and 4 miles from the nearest town N. Both of these towns have several internet services. There are 11/12 houses in my community and several houses and businesses between my house and both towns. Why will no one run cable 4mi. to this are.
