Of course 60 yrs olds can still wear makeup. Where are you from?

The current population is aging. 60 yr olds are the new middle age group. They're vibrant & full of life! Take a look around you & see the fun going on.

Ok, I am getting there but still have a few years left (am a baby boomer who grew up in the 1960s).

I still love makeup and use it all the time. It's a question, though, of knowing how much/little to use, what colors, types, etc.

To me, makeup enhances a woman's looks by just polishing them, and perfecting the skin tones/imperfections, etc.

If somebody's makeup is too standout-ish, then she's applying too much. I want my looks to be brought out, and not have the makeup the first thing that's noticed. Don't want somebody saying," Wow! What great-looking make up you have," but instead," Wow! You certainly look extra pretty today!"

Even 'tho I'm approaching my 60s, most people assume I'm still in my 40s. A woman my age doesn't have to give up on her looks. Looks can be enhanced at any age. Age is relative. I still feel as young in some ways as I did years ago, and definitely have more confidence and self-esteem.

I would recommend Bare Minerals. I love the stuff and have been wearing it for 5 years, and NO it is not for older ladies because I am 30 something, my niece is 25 and wears it, and my sister who is 56 wears it. It just really feels good to your skin and makes your skin look very healthy and natural. I think that as women we should do what is best to make ourselves feel pretty.
Now, I wouldn't recommend bright colored eyeshadows or candy colored lipsticks for 60 year old beauties, those shades look great on younger girls.

Of course they can! There's nothing wrong with it. They are 60, not dead. My grandma is 71 and she still wears makeup and looks terrific! Of course, she doesn't overdo it, but that goes for everyone, not only for grandmas (too much makeup can make you look cheap).
Naturally, at every stage in life you need to take care of your skin differently, so, for example, women above 30 need to start using some creams, and my grandma uses creams for her skin that are different from the ones my mom uses, and all of them are different from the ones that I use. So, every skin at every stage in life needs different treatment, and since you apply makeup on your skin, you need to be aware of that.

Heck yeah! My mom wears stuff by "Signature Club A by Adrienne". This makeup line is sold on HSN. It's great stuff, I use some of her lotions and moisturizers. Here's a link:

Sure they can. It may not do TOO much because their skin has aged, but if they want to, they can. Look at some Bobbi Brown books. In one of them, it has women of all ages and races in make-up. If they can do it, so can you (I don't know if you were referring to yourself).
EDIT: And bare escentuals is NOT made for older women. It's actually better used for younger women who have no skin problems and just want sheer coverage.
