First I thought of being an architect, then my dad convinced me that architecture was not the best field for me so I changed my mind to engineering. Now I'm thinking it probably should be civil engineering cuz it's sort of broad and general. But it seems so bulky too so i cant say that I know I wanna be a civil engineer. I'm just so confused.

Well no one person can tell you what you should or what is best for you because they don't know your needs and requirements. They cannot see into your mind and read your thoughts.

Just sit down and think, what would i like to do for the rest of my LIFE?

It won't happen after a few minutes, maybe not after a few hours but eventually it will happen.

DON'T PANIC.

Once you start to follow your heart, things will fall into place.

Most colleges and universities don't require you to pick a major until sophomore or even junior year of college (depending on the program). If I were you, I would take some classes in several areas that you may be interested in during your freshmen year. This will give you some idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are before you commit to a major.

Good Luck!

You usually take the same freshman classes for all engineering majors. Therefore, you will have a year to decide on your specific engineering major. You will get a much better feel for what the different majors entail once on campus. Just relax and get the best grades you can so that your options are open.

Don't allow anyone to convince you that something else is right for you; go to college to get the career that you think is right for you. Many times, when parents convince a person to have a certain career, he/she never finishes college because of failure do to lack of interest!
