your information is incorrect. Some common Camel Spider Myths:
1. Camel spiders can move at speeds over 30 MPH, screaming while they run.
2. Camel spiders can be as large as a frisbee.
3. Camel spiders venom is an anesthetic that numbs their prey.
4. Camel spiders can jump three feet high.
5. Camel spiders get there name because they eat the stomachs of camels.
THE FACTS
Most of these claims are false or greatly exaggerated.
1. Camel spiders top speed - 10 mph.
2. Size: Up to 6 inches
3. They have no venom.
4. They don't jump.
5. Called camel spiders because they live in the desert.

That's pretty ugly, but take a look at a google search for "ugly spider." I don't have a problem with spiders normally, I can even let them crawl on me, but some of them are pretty freaky looking.

Yep. Those are nasty. And HUGE! I've got some kind of garden spider here in the south that's almost as bad. It's big and black with a yellow spot on its tummy. You never see these boogers til you are right on them. They are everywhere outside around here!

Nothing is ugly in the final analysis...we can perhaps have an emotional towards some things, but certainly doesn't make others gross. Everything is beautiful as far as their function is concerned.

Huh, Spiders are beautiful, complex, and beneficial creations.
What better way to control insect pests than this natural way, without toxic chemicals?
Better we learn to live with these reclusive creatures than continue to destroy future generation's destiny with chemicals.

No doubt, it IS creepy! AND it can run fast and is big. Keep in mind though, spiders do eat a lot of other bugs. I have them in the corners of my windows (OUTSIDE) and they keep the bugs down by catching them in their sticky icky webs. I don't kill them, I just put them outside and tell them they have to eat tons of mosquitoes for my saving their life.

Camels spiders are ugly.
Not quite as nasty as amblypygids.... :)
Just can't understand how they are built... Like a mix of scorpion, spider, insect, etc... Weird...
