If its on the Yahoo website, then click on Internet Options, and under the "Content" tab, click on the button that says: "Autocomplete". Then click on "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords" (if you have any stored passwords). If you don't want to be shown your previous search entries ever, then look for this option:

*Use Autocomplete for:
-Web addresses
-Forms
-Usernames and Passwords on Forms

uncheck the checkboxes according to your choice.

**If you're talking about the Yahoo! toolbar, then click on the pencil icon beside the search box and click on "Clear Search History".

To delete search history (AutoComplete forms history) in Internet Explorer:
• Select "Tools" then "Internet Options".
• Open the "Content" tab.
• Click the "AutoComplete" button.
• Click the "Clear forms" button to delete all AutoComplete form data and/or click the "Clear Passwords" to delete restored passwords.
You can also delete search history using Clear All History "Clear browser history" feature for Internet Explorer.

It depends on your operating system. I am assuming that you are talking of a drop down menu that you can see when you start typing in the yahoo search box. Go to options, look for internet options and look for something like clear all internet information, should be OK. Else try google http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=freeware+clear+internet&meta=
