OK lets review the facts surrounding "Israel"actions. They have been occupying other people land calling it their own for over 50 years , through that time they have been killing women and children who have no means to protect themselves, the shot old men while there were praying so many times , they have declined to carry on the Nations council's decisions because there are above the international law, they have declined to carry on the orders on International court to remove the wall because again there are above all laws , and that is just in Palestine as fr Lebanon they have committed mascaras in Lebanon many times like in 1982 and in the first Qana massacre in 1993 when over 109 people were killed all women and children and the destroying of Lebanon infrastructure many time the latest were in 1996 and now in 2006 . they are occupying Lebanese land and again they are above the law and they can use band weapons like Smart booms to insure killing as many innocent children as possible and I can't wait to hear there last excuse for killing over 60 people half of them were children in Qana yesterday . So you tell me who is the devil?

No. Please understand that most of the people of the world form their opinions based on the information (or misinformation) that has been fed to them by whatever source they erroneously trust. Many people believe that Israel is evil, but many people believe that Israel is right and just.

I guess it depends on which people you're talking about. Here in the US, most people tend to side with Israel, because the US and Israel are strong allies. But in the Middle East (other than in Israel, of course), most people see Israel as an extension of evil US aggression.

It all depends largely on one's point of view. Personally, I believe that the truth is somewhere in the middle. Israel is complicit in some of the US's policies that have been unfair to others in the Middle East, but also, Israel has been the victim of terrorist attacks carried out by Hizbollah (which is supported by Iran and possibly Syria, and legitimized by Lebanon) since anywhere from 1982 to 1985. Israel is connected with the US, and the US is seen as evil in the Middle East. But still, that doesn't mean Israel doesn't have the right to defend herself.

Israel = God's people. All others who war against Israel = EVIL
Hard learned fact for some...

This is a stupid question.

It's like saying - Who are the 'goodies' and who are the 'baddies'

The Israelis and Americans will say Israel is good and all others are bad.

The rest of the world can see Israel for the evil it is. Killing innocent children is EVIL folks, there is no two ways about it. We can't have double standards.....killing children is EVIL.

The Jews said they had precision bombs. Well, then they wanted to kill these children. And they wanted to target those ambulances last week. They are EVIL and the Americans need to wake up to it and STOP FUNDING THEIR KILLING.

If Israel is evil then who made them this way? The people who drove them out of the Middle East (Arabs)? The people who persecuted them (Europeans)? The people who won't even let them have a little bit of the Middle East (Arabs again).

BTW: People World sounds like a tacky shop.

The fact that this question is even being asked illustrates how corrupt and propaganda ridden education is in the world.

People today are more stupid than they were 20 years ago. Can you imagine how bad it is going to be 10 years from now?

Islam, Herz-f*uck-me-I'm-a-fag-bollah, Ham-up-the-a*ss are EVIL.

Israel = a little, beaten up engine saying "I think I can, I think I can" ... poor poor Israel, where is your champion?

Israel isn't evil, no. There's no doubt that they were provoked. And there also isn't much doubt that Hezbollah has set them up to respond by attacking civilian locations. Hezbollah's purpose isn't to defeat Israel in this war, but to isolate Israel. Israel can't win in the court of world opinion in this war.

Hezbollah, as with Hamas, has actually performed useful and valuable services to the segment of the population they support. There is no doubt their citizens are better off because of what they've done. However, there is also no doubt they are extremely anti-Semitic groups, who have expressed and continue to express the wish to have Jews eradicated from the middle east. Let's face it, Palestinian leadership in the 40's actually openly supported Nazi plans regarding the extermination of Jews. And things haven't changed much since then ... Hezbollah and Iranian leadership have relatively recently announced that is still their design. They seek to dominate and rule by force, with their hatred as their motivation.

Israel has to defend herself, and both Hezbollah and Hamas are strategically smart enough to fight their war standing behind civilians. They are willing to sacrifice women and children to protect their men who are fighting, knowing it will cripple Israel's support.

Hezbollah is merely the puppet of Iran; Syria also, but Syria isn't in the same position of Iran. And the Iranian hierarchy is seeking to dominate, and with evil consequences and plans ahead, I'm afraid.

Having said this, Israel also has to accept their blame. They want to go in and destroy Hezbollah, yet do it by killing civilians in Lebanon. Stupid, stupid, stupid, and wrong. They had most of the Sunni world on their side at the start of this, and could have had 60% of the Lebanese population on their side as well. The only way Israel can live peacefully in this area is to draw out the support of the majority of the Arab world who agree it would be better to live in peace, and reach out to them diplomatically. They need to isolate the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists, rather than giving them ammunition. Too many Arab families have lost loved ones to make it easy for them to forgive easily ... and we can say the same for Israel's. At some point, an uneasy tolerance is going to have to bring peace, so a new generation grows up without the same feelings of intense hatred.

Unfortunately, it would have made no difference, as neither the non-Shiite Lebanese, nor nearby Arab nations, nor Israel's European critics, have the ability to disarm Hezbollah. Ultimately, the reason this occured in the first place goes right back to the Lebanese people themselves ... they have been unwilling to disarm a group they knew would provoke Israel at some point. It's understandable, given the military armaments Hezbollah has ... Lebanon has to be just as concerned Hezbollah would turn inward in a civil war as they might turn outward against Israel. Hezbollah has no love for the Lebanese Christian community, that is sure. And the international community is to blame as well. With all the hand wringing and complaining to the press, most of the major complaining countries in Europe have admitted they would NOT be sending troops to join a coalition that would ultimately have to force Hezbollah to disarm. It's hard to blame Israel solely when all her European and mid-eastern critics are so shameful themselves.

Ultimately, there is enough hatred here, that it is hard to see peace coming ever. But both sides are to blame.
