A young boy is thought to be abducted by a pediofile in Sask. This man has been jailed at least four times for this very offense !!! i think there is something very wrong with the justice system if this is allowed to happen over and over. Is there something wrong with my way of thinking? The law makers who are supposed to know what they are doing allow this man and others like him back on the street time and time again.

I'm still ranting...The most time he served was three years! After being released for one offense , he abducted a child only 9 days later!! I don' know what I am more upset with , the offender (who probaly can't help himself) or the laws of the land.

There is nothing wrong with your thinking the Justice system has some major problems when a man that has done this before even have the chace to do this to another child - The children should not be the ones that get punished for their actions these criminals should be the ones that get punished -

I really wish that we could help protect our children from people like this - when really once they are caught shouldn't there be one less on the streets to harm children??

How can it be so hard to really punish them for their actions - rather than believeing that "they have changed" can't our law makers whom we have voted into office figure out how to keep these people away from our children -

No, I think the problem is death row inmates sit there for 20 yrs before they finally hit the chair or table..... I think the justice system needs an overhaul. If someone is given the death penalty they should get 1 apeal and sent down that long dark hallway within a year... can you imagine how much in taxes would be saved for not feeding these inmates? and then with all those out of the way they would have more space for thse sick pedofiles out there... and I think they need to have special prisons for them.

British law is probably the oldest and most respected legal system in the world, all other countries have adapted and moved along as times have gone on.
It is just here in England that the law sucks and is too weak on criminals - the people who let off re-offenders should be hung up by their b*ollocks outside the Old Bailey.

I agree. They should be locked up for life, and forced to work 6 days a week to cover the cost of their keep. I think we should have residential factories set up for people like this if our current prison system can not cope.

It makes me angry that stealing from the government carries a lighter sentance than abusing a child (the great train robbers got 30 years). I know which crime I think should carry the longer sentance!

The problem comes when they've served their time for the offence. However, I agree with you. Paedophiles have a poor record for rehabilitation and I think they should never be released. Arsonists aren't released back into the community so I don't see why paedophiles should be.

Yes there are lots of problems with the laws and far to many loop holes. I think that we should stop letting people that commit these crime or similar crimes from ever been let out of prison on there first offence!!!!!!

I totally agree. 3 strikes, you're out. No this will be his fifth offense and he should never be able to see the light of day agin.

I agree these men (and women) should not be allowed to get back on the streets. They should be locked up forever.
