I had a red 71 with a 250 ci six, and a gold 72 rally nova with a 350 and 4 speed. (both 2 door) Pretty good cars, and all the suspension parts would interchange with 67-69 camaro too.
I raced a 76 nova with good success on dirt track for a while, but it just wasn't designed strong enough for that kind of abuse.

Oh my god... that was my first car !!!!!!!
I learned to drive with an 86 (or i guess it was 84??) red chevy nova. This was just like 2 years ago. I bought it from a neighbor for $500 and the thing just ran like it was new!
I had to let it go though... it was almost dead by the time I was done with it :-P

YES. I used to have a '65 that came with a 283" eng., then I swapped in a 400" that looked almost exactly like the original eng. Only someone VERY knowledgeable could tell the difference.

It was REAL quick and embarrassed a lot of Mustang owners. Wish I still owned it!!!!!!
