well, i learned something. i thought the weekend as we know it was started by workers in ford factories, but wiki says otherwise! its a good read!

Because back in the 50s they added the second day as a mark of how great our economy was doing. People could support themselves have 1 car a small house and food to eat every day only working 40 hours and 5 days a week. It was a marvel of the industry at the time.
Now that luxuries have become "needs" and Americans are not willing to work for fair pay we can't make any progress toward shorter weeks. Now you need 2 cars, cable, AC, a computer, vacations, and so on and so forth.

1st of all who defined time
why is a sec this long and
only 7 days a week( i read this somewhere but forgot)
12 months a year
364.25 days a year(just becos it takes earth to travel ard)
its all psycological
if u want it there can be 7 weekends in a week

Isn't there a country that only allows a four day work week. They all laugh at us. We work so hard just to make it and we don't have the time or energy to enjoy what we made.

You should get a job at a University. You get summer Friday's...sigh. 3-day weekends...or at least you do here.
