RE:
Does colon cleansing really work?
Am seeing more and more about this...does it work? What time of the day should you use it? How long does it take to work on you. What happens to you when you use colon cleansing stuff? Is it fluid, pills? Just curious...Thanks!

I don't know but i'm a nutrition student and I don't believe in those colon cleansers. There's this natural colon cleanser that I call fiber ;)....try eating that :) ...that means whole grains, fresh fruits, and veggies. I don't know what's contained in that specific colon cleanser besides what I read from that other person's response and the only ingredient I see that they listed that would have a direct effect on your colon is fiber. All the vitamins and the calcium that's supposedly in it, is digested before it reaches the colon. (90% of all nutrients are absorbed into the small intestine since there are a large majority of enzymes contained there). *addition- Oh, I was looking at the notes I took in my nutrition class today and i'll copy and paste this here since it fits well with what I was talking about: Nothing is digested in the colon- it is responsible for waste and reabsorption of water, electrolytes, vitamins, and sodium.

Yes it works, I have a recipe that I used, but it is natural stuff. You should cleanse every so often. I don't know that I could do this one again, but once you cleanse, you should not have anymore problems. Your body will absorb nutrients better! I had a problem losing weight, but after I did this I have lost lots of weight (for me) and am still losing. It is a slow process. I did a herbal cleanse after I did the colon cleanse. It helped me a lot! Let me know if you want it, I can email it to you.

Yes it works. I can't remember the name of the product I used Dr. something or the other. You mix the fiber in the morning (in Juice) drink a glass of water, take a few pills and at night you drink this really relaxing tea (knocked me out every time, best sleep i ever had) the tea is the key. Usually within the first 3 days it starts working and depending on whether or not you keep up your water intake you could go the restroom 5x's a day. Minimal cramping. Product advises at least 1 to 2 months for a complete cleanse.

does it work for what? people have several reasons for taking colon cleansers. Maybe they are constipated, maybe they want to look skinny..
I had acne problems and the doctor recommended a colonic. It was an ugly procedure.
But the over the counter stuff you see, I would recommend you use it over the weekend when you know you can be home

"Really work?" What do you mean, "work"??
Yes, they can purge your colon, but is that what you mean?
No, they are not effective for long-term weight loss, is that what you mean?
No, they do not remove "toxins" or parasites or 20 pounds of stuff (a lot of what comes out is just the fiber that they put in!), is that what you mean?

Add veggies to baked items. You'll never even taste your zucchini in these brownies or maybe the sweet potato in these kind of cookies.
