i can play the CD on my computer tho, but not on a standard CD player.

it would play on my computer tho. my standard CD player is MP3 compatible, and im using Roxio to burn the mp3 files to the CD.

have you copied these files onto a cd rw disc because if you have you can't listen to it on most standard cd players unless they are copied onto a cd r.

YOu need to do one of three things:
1. Convert from mp3 to standard format CD (which will hold up to 19 songs). Roxio products or iTunes will do this for you.
2. Get an mp3 compatible CD player.
3. Move into the millenium and just get an iPod. No CD required.

Usually a standard CD player cannot play MP3 files. You should make an audio CD. You will not be able to fit as many songs on the CD, but it will play in a standard CD player.

I use Nero (version 6 or 7) - just click on Create Audio CD and follow the steps. NERO will automatically change mp3 files into audio cd. Don't COPY the music files - use the NERO tool.

not all players support mp3 format. if your player doesn't support mp3, you can convert it into audio cd format...use itunes...
