Here's a thought, have them get jobs and pay for their own health care instead of my tax dollars paying for it?

Children don't qualify for Medicare unless they are disabled. Even then they would already have their own medicare card.

Usually the state does this automatically. If the children are still in school they will get a card of their own.

They are 18, they no longer qualify for medicare. Time for them to work.

I presume you mean Medicaide? I think the children would not be on "Medicare." www.medicare.gov has lots of answers on every thing.
