I went to a Grammar School (left 5 years ago)
Mine was a mixed Grammar though so there weren't really any problems meeting/dating girls
The only stick we used to get was being called 'Square' by all the kids from the Comprehesive up the road

I went to a boys Grammar School many years ago. The Girls school was next door - which did set up odd things (in both genders, I think) about the opposite sex being a little out of reach.

One or two people I was at school with I later discovered were gay, but that is actually to do with the way that the brain develops in the womb, NOT how one is raised or educated.

After I left my school (named after a chocolate bar, I always supposed) became a mixed comprehensive(ish) school.

Many years later and I am a teacher myself (just don't tell the 13 year old me - he'd never believe it! - neither would any of my old teachers, I'm sure!). Some of my collegues in my current school are looking at splitting classes along gender lines in order to improve attainment. Seems that there has been alot of interesting work done in this area recently. Not to seperate out the schools, just some of the classes.
Plus - stop them eating & drinking crap all the time - and teach the parents how to parent properly.... we'd have an education system to rival the world...

I went to an all girls school! I didnt have anyone making fun of me in that manner, but when I went to college, I found it a bit hard to know how to socialise with the boys! As a result, I ended up getting a reputation of being a flirt!! (Hey I was only being friendly!!) lol
