We painted our nitestands and now the drawers stick terribly when we go to open them. What can we do now?

the paint on the lower edge or upper has more friction than the bare wood

take the drawer out and look at what helps slide the drawer - sand paint off those areas - should be hidden by front fo drawer

Make sure your finish/paint has dried. Sand where the edges of the drawers glide. Take an old bar soap sliver to lightly rub the glides leaving a dry film over the bare wood, acts as a lubricant.

Put some lemon oil on the edges where the drawer slides in and out. That should do it..
