Life inspires me, when you see a handicapped person doing things or a baby trying to walk or someone doing a good deed for others.My daughter when i'm struggling with something she says don't give up i love you mum you can do it. This inspires me to do my best and enjoy what life has to offer

Mr. Manthy, my sixth grade teacher in 1967 at Lincoln Elementary in Escondido, Ca. He was a Polio victim and didn't have the use of his legs. I was born with a birth defect to my legs and feet, and at the time, Eugenics was popular. It was believed that anyone who had a birth defect, especially physical or mental, should be sterilized. Worse, those of us who could not fully participate in the Kennedy Physical Fitness program were considered a disgrace to the memory of President Kennedy. Imagine how that made a young boy feel about himself. For me, Mr. Manthy changed all that and I will never forget it. He let me see that everyone can make a contribution to society. The National Eugenics movement still exist today.
