the chair is new, so I do not know what kind of fabric it is.....but i believe it to be sturdy. We live in a hot climate

Dampen the area with warm soapy water, let it soak for several minutes then press firmly with a dry cloth or towel ( something that will absorb the moisture and stain ). Do this until it disappears.
Don't rub or it will spread the stain.

try some soda water and scrub hard. knowing what kind of fabric would help a lot. like weather or not you can use different detergents or other chemicals.

Use oxi- clean mixed with water. Don't rub, blot. Its wonderful for removing stains.
