I was lying in bed last night, trying to sort out my head, wondering why things are screwed up when I realized something. I don't want to be a human anymore. They cause too many problems and are they don't accept me.

Who would want to be part of a species, just about the only species, who makes war and messes with the only earth we have?

I want to be useful. When you think about it, pretty much every creature is useful, even if it's just being food to maggots. But what do humans really do? Is being maggot food enough?

People can be born feeling like the wrong gender, why can't I be the wrong species? The sad thing is, there is no surgery for me.

Do you ever feel like the wrong species or am I crazy like my father said I am?

Congratulations! You have a conscience! (That's getting so rare these days, we're passing medals out for it .) But, remember, it's a HUMAN conscience. Our species does go mad from time to time. But, not ALL of us go mad. In every storm of insanity that humanity endures, there are always people like you, people with a conscience who find themselves in agony because they cannot figure out how to stop the madness. Those kind of people must continue on, though, and stay sensible and sane and hopeful so that when the madness settles down (and it will), decency and rationality will have a chance to grow among us again. And, besides, you'd look real stupid as a butterfly or something.

The very fact that you are questioning your species makes you very human - other species don't have that luxury. If you are concerned about the problems that humans are causing then become part of the solution - it'll make you feel better - even if everyone else is screwing things up you won't be. Join an organisation like Greenpeace or Amnesty International and make a difference

Self doubt is normal. No, you are not crazy. You might feel a bit depressed, but don't let the answers from these idiots get you down. They just want to increase their answer scores. Humans do not neatly fit into an ecological niche. We tend to destroy them. Unless you consider NYC an ecology comprised of many, many humans and pets.

Just remember, that you are a free thinker and it's thoughts like the one you are having that change the world.

you are too negative, you have not taken time to explore the world. there is too much to offer but you have locked yourself in a cacoon thinking of the ills humans do. what about those humans who fight and lose life to make the world a better place.
talk to me if you wish, we can explore philosophy in detail as we discover ourselves and the beauty of humanity!
