probably not. Buddha was fully enlightened, and has permanently overcome anger, greed, and ignorance, and has achieved complete liberation from suffering. That being said, I don't think he would approve of a lot of people. Look at the way we live our lives. War isn't the only thing that he would disapprove of. He would equally be saddened due to all of the anger, greed, and ignorance that you see in a lot of the so called peace activist like Cindy Sheehan. I myself am not as peaceful as I should be either and you most likely have your flaws too. Just try to look at the good in people. George Bush has worked hard to liberate suffering people so he is not all that bad. The real peace activist are the ones over in the middle east trying to make a difference, not the ones that picket and buy ranch homes in Texas to get media coverage. She could have put all that money into the real peace effort. How many children's mouth's do you think that she could have fed? I am in the military, and I'll tell you that I've done more humanitarian relief than any harm. Karma!

Buddha would have seen the Buddha in Bush so that Bush could see the Bush in Budha and the two cannot disagree with each other...

My take is both yes and no...Yes since the Buddha would not judge nor condemn anyone and no since the Buddha would not agree nor appreciate the lies and aggression. Ultimately the Buddha would see that it is another illusion of Maya which creates suffering whilst ensconced within the circle of the Karmic Wheel and Buddha would gently remind the disciple to "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain" and focus on ones' own innerself to escape this nightmare of duality.

The Immaculate Buddha would likely neither approve nor disapprove. His Holiness sought to teach people who would listen and wanted to find a better way to live their lives.
He did not generally spend time on issues of no import: ex: when a group of people asked His Holiness about the existence of god, he responded that the answer was unimportant. What was important, was that each person live a life that brought them closer to the release from rebirth.

Buddha would see Bush as the un-evolved, unenlightened creature that he is and accept this condition in him without surprise or without even any opinion about it.
