Zecharia Sitchin is one of 200 or so scholars who can read sumerian. So don't feel it isn't possible to read or even "speak" sumerian as some readers have suggested. you should read the article below perhaps it would give you a new view on life as you know it.

Sumerian is a dead language. Nobody 'speaks' 'fluent' Sumerian.

If you did, no one would know....

Sumerian exists only in written records:

The Sumerian language of ancient Sumer was spoken in Southern Mesopotamia from at least the 4th millennium BCE. Sumerian was replaced by Akkadian as a spoken language around 2000 BCE, but continued to be used as a sacred, ceremonial and scientific language in Mesopotamia until about 1 AD. Then, it was forgotten until the 19th century. Sumerian is distinguished from other languages of the area such as Hebrew, Akkadian, which also comprises Babylonian and Assyrian, and Aramaic, which are Semitic languages, and Elamite, which may be an Elamo-Dravidian language.

Could be a past life?

And By the way, Sumerian is still used, or at least Babylonian, In the area of Irag near the ancient city of Ur. I have a friend who lived in Iraq, he says it's a very peculiar language. It's corrupted with Arabic, though.

How would one know he is speaking such a dead language at all, let alone fluently or not? No one is taught Sumerian, and no one speaks it badly or fluently now. Backwoods hicks say they talk in tongues. I studied French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Tagolog, and I know that there is no easy way to speak several languages. "Talking in tongues" is like believing in Santa Claus. Mature people do not take such things seriously.

Verily thy link worketh still.

Thou doth speak Sumerian?
Whenst did this occur?
When thee did speake it, how didst thou knoweth it was Sumerian thy tongue was uttering, if thy knowledge of it was naught?
What wast thy message ye didst spake?
Didst thee pronounce correctly? If aye, how doth thou knowest this, as there be no way to knowest the pronounciations of the Sumerian tongue.

Be it truth thee speake, then be wary.
The language of the Ancients holdeth keys and truths to thy fate.
If thee is talking in the Ancient tongue, strife be due to thee.
I doth only pray thou is ready for revelations of Truth.

If what you say is true, then I would say it is because you were Sumerian in a past life.
