Yes, depening upon the source you look at, they are either government agents or aliens in disguise. I mostly hear that the men in black are government agents that are sent to indimidate people that have viewed UFOs or had experiences with extraterrestrials so the witnesses would not tell anyone about their experiences. I don't know of any particularly good sites about the men in black but there is some information about them on the first 2 sites listed. Some of the sites are about government cover ups and also have links to other alien/ufo related sites.

Whenever I see, "Is/are------real?", I can always answer, "No!" Someone is always asking if something imaginary is real, e.g. God, Devil, aliens, Bigfoot, Noah's Flood (I have 30 points for answering 3 such questions.), vampires, viable Democratic presidential candidates, etc. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof! In Medieval times, William of Occam or Ockham developed his "Razor" as a principle of Logic. It says to use the simplest hypothesis that will account for the facts observed. There are only wild tales about MIB. Why should a logical person believe something for which there is no proof at all?

Supposedly, the first MIBs appeared in the early 1950s, and they always appeared to someone who had seen a UFO. There are pages and pages of stories from people who supposedly saw them and then reported it. They have been called aliens, robots and sometimes even government officials. (I guess government officials aren't much better than robots, are they?) I have never seen a UFO so I've never seen a MIB.

men in black are "spoofs" of gmen, supposedly a super secret government agency that deals w/ e.t. type "stuff"...
