First, go to the Dr to make sure it is a muscle strain/sprain and not nerve damage or other internal problems. The Dr should prescribe a muscle relaxant and/or an anti inflammatory. Use alternating heat and ice on the injured area. Give it time to heal.

Back problems are very common. I have had plenty of them. The question is how bad have you hurt your back? A trip to a doctor would be the first thing to do, to have an X-ray to tell if there is bone damage. I have had success with chiropractors to ease the pain. A hot compress on your back (be sure and don't leave it on more than 15-20 minutes at a time) would help ease the pain as well as anti inflammatory medicine such as Advil or Aleve. But the doctor should be the first step. Hope you are out of pain soon!

That is no fun, while lying down try lying on your side with a pillow between your knees sometimes that helps. Talk to your doc about a few pain pills to help you. Another posotion that might help is on the stomach with at tleast one pillow under your stomach. I learned of these things when my first huband blew adisc then my secons had the same thing happen only he blew three which is now up to 5 minimum.Best of luck I hope this helps.

Visit a chiropractor to make sure that all is well with the back. They can help get rid of the muscle spasm that causes the pain.

IcyHot is a good product to try.
There is stuff out there that you can wear around your lower back that would probably help you. Hot baths help ease pains.

1st go to the chiropractor. He/she will probably tell you to put Ice on your back and then heat alternating 15 min intervals. There is also this stuff called Bio-Freeze that is absolutely spectacular

goto a bone doc (not a bonehead one) & request for xrays.... theres a small bone called coccyx that can be hurt in this way..... may need a minor surgery (coccyx, btw, is the sole remnant of a tail.... yes, humans do have a tail, but its hidden in the cheeks)
