A simple quilt - use larges pieces...each one from the clothing of a family member. They are very simple to make. If you do not sew then you can take the pieces (pin notes to the back of each one identifying the family member who donated the piece) with a simple store bought pattern to a seamstress/tailor and they will whip it together for you for very little expense. It has so much meaning and value to give a present that represents the comfort and protection a family wraps us in - literally. PS - be sure to include a piece from her own wardrob, place it in the center of the quilt. And remind everyone to choose a clothing sample the is not stretchy or of a "busy" pattern.

Something tasteful and unique, and in line with her interests. If she's the houseproud type, you could give her something to decorate her house with or something.
