Best exercise I have used is walking lunges, ie put one leg out in front and bend down until your other knee touches the ground. Try doing those for 1 length of the basketball court, I guarantee you'll feel the burn! When you've done those for a few weeks, try doing them while holding a pair of weights.
Also look up some books about plyometric exercises - these will improve your explosiveness and probably give your jump an extra inch or two.

if you what to do things that are related to basketball
then backboard tips - with or without ball (depending how high you can jump) - use a wall if you dont have a backboard around
squat jumps, squats, burpees etc - anything that you are working your leg muscles - calf raises
a fun game i play is tryint to touch the backboard (i'm a girl - cant touch it) at the start of the season that was one of my goals - to be able to touch the backboard - every training session i would try 5-10 times to jump and touch the backboard - it took the whole season but a couple of training sessions before the end - i managed to do it !!
good luck
