Who has done TEFL / TESOL ? Serious advise needed. How advantageous is it to someone who loves teaching? Please Reply as i would really love to take up teaching English as my career in any part of the world. But i m in deep confusion regarding TEFL / TESOL. Would i really benefit from it and fulfill my dream which is also my aim?

Try tefl.training@virgin.net I'm doing their correspondence course at the mo after an intensive weekend last month. I'm already a teacher and have just done my first year teaching abroad without at TEFL, but it is very useful. Once you are qualified you get registered with the British Council which is a big open door to the world.
I have just come back from Uzbekistan and next I go to Uganda. Go for it, and the world is your oyster!

I'm doing a Tesol right now, but for different reasons (in case i decide to teach for a bit). I believe it will be very useful for you if you intend to teach overseas. But note that in many countries it is not required and you can get the job without having a Tesol. On the other hand, not having it would definetely make your task harder to get the job unless you are already in the country in which you intend to work.

I reckon it will give you an advantage, and most private language schools demand it.If it's your dream to become a teacher, then you should go for it, but be sure also to make the right choice ( a Trinity , for example). Also consider a Celta, it is highly recognized worldwide.

One last thing, choose a Tesol in an institution which has good job resources and connections, particularly with the country in which you intend to work.

best of luck^-^
