if u really want to impress the person visiting ur house then go for dress in which u will be comfortable and will look good.as far as colours are concerned go pastal shades of pink, blue.
if u are slim go for punjabi dress.
if u are average than go for saree

I f u r living in punjab then i think u should wear a Suit and if u r not from Punjab then u can wear a saree...For makeup:
Apply some light Make-up which look natural,Coz natural thing is always good...

Wear a punjabi suit, and wear some light natural make up (foundation, lipstick, eyeliner, mascara and a light blush). Make sure your nails look neat (on hands and feet) - some guys notice every details. If you are nervous you might be twiddling with your fingers, so it wouldn't be nice if he saw scraggy nails.
You could also wear earrings or bangles and some perfume. Be yourself - don't forget he might be nervous too. Good luck.

Wear a simple but attractive saree and apply a light make-up..
Being simple always helps ...It would also help you to judge the person who is seeing you because if he likes you when you are natural, he must be a genuine person..All the Best!!

You can wear a saree or salwar kameez in a color that suits you. In terms of makeup- keep it natural & co- ordinate with ur clothes. Also, wear simple, light jewelry- nothing too heavy. Most important, be confident & natural, and smile!!

wear sadi or Punjabi dress apply some basic foundation like lakmey deli wear souffle ans carve Ur eyes with liner apply some decent shade of lipstick no need of blush on and eye shadows cause its indoor event.

I would try Mary Kay products you can check them out at www.marykay.com/kfrench2006 and you can even email and ask for samples!! As far as clothes I'd look for something that makes you feel comfortable because this will show you can if he doesn't like you then you shouldn't get married

Just be yourself like you want to be, then the person gets used to it right away.
When you put to much effort in yourself you will have to do it all the time and becoming a different person.
