that depends on the size of the container you have used to catch the water...

1 metre = 1000 millimetre
so, 6 mm = 6/1000 m = 0.006 m
therefore the rain u would have caught is the volume.
30*30*.0006
= 5.4 m^3
1 m^3 = 1000 litres
so 5.4 m^3 = 5400 litres

remember for water 1ml is the same as 1 Cubic centimeter.
First, let's convert everything to centimeters.
30m=3000cm,
6mm=.6cm,

so that means that the volume is 3000 x 3000 x .6 = 5,400,000 Cubic Centimeters.
Remember, 1 CC = 1ml, so you have 5,400,000 ml of water, but the question asks for Liters.

1000ml= 1 Liter, so 5,400,000/1000 = 5,400 Liters.

This is the same thing as saying if you had a swimming pool that was 30m by 30m and you poured 5,400 Liters of water into it, the water level would rise 6mm., which makes sense. Pouring 5.4 Liters of water into a swimming pool of that size would not raise the water level noticeably.

5400000 liters

30*30*1000*1000 = square MM
30*30*1000*1000*6 = cubic MM
1000 cubic MM = 1 liter
so 30*30*1000*1000*6 / `1000 is the answer in liters

6mm=.006m
.006*30*30=5.4m^3
5.4m^3*(100cm/1m)^3 = 5400000cm^3*1ml/1cm^3 = 5400000 ml
5400000ml=5400L
5400 liters
