It depends, are you a guest or a bride? Is it a summer or a winter wedding? Is it indoors or outdoors?
Those are factors you should take into consideration cause for example if you wear a beautiful summer dress without taking a jacket or anything with you and the wedding is outdoors you could get cold as the evening goes.
I would say as a bride go with your instinct, the dress you feel more comfortable in is the best one, cause you have to wear it for a long time, while standing, dancing, greeting guests etc so if it's too tight, too short, too anything you will spend the whole night worrying about your dress and how it fits than actually enjoying your night.
If you are a guest,I would say a nice dress(not in white, creme, beige, eggshell or anything that is close to the brides dress color.) with some nice elegant shoes and a pashmina(for later in the evening) are just fine,if you are young you can also go with jeans and a nice top on(again the no white rule stands here too).Don't overdress, remember this is the brides night not yours....how would you feel if everyone looked at your guests instead of you on your wedding....keep that in mind and you'll do fine!!

this is an Arab wedding ceremony so completely distinctive so a Pakistani wedding ceremony, as an occasion. because it fairly is segregated you will see the ladies persons removing their hijab and getting incredibly dressed up. Arabs tend to get very glitzy and bling at weddings and the only element that would make you stand out is that in case you have been donning undeniable, subdued (tasteful?) outfits that would make human beings think of you're somewhat unusual. i does not although placed on a skirt above your knee as even between women persons this is seen somewhat too short. although you would be able to circulate and locate that a lot are donning mini skirts - it relies upon how non secular the kinfolk/buddies are.
