Maybe, I'll take a crack at it. Why, are we here? Life is present because a supernatural being created this universal and gave it life.
Human beings ask why, because we have deinied the author of life, God. He gives life purpose, for those willing to seek, everybody else is running on a metaphysical treadmill, doing a lot of stuff, but getting nowhere. The futility of life without God, is a profound emptiness that terrifies most human beings. What is even more terrifying is what happens after death? Ask a Christian, they know.

Why becomes a dirty word when you cannot get an answer.
Hidden in the word is a desire to discover, to know. Or to release the pressure of not knowing.
No answer to why? I wonder why?
Why is the advent of discovery and invention.

because if people know the answer and you don't, that means they have one up on you, and that makes them feel better about themselves. its very sad. i think that's why, i may be wrong but if I'm not, i may be in some way better than you, so in theory; and its only my theory, i should feel good. hmmmmmmmm....
