No, I can't prove it to you because you're just a robot pretending to be alive to confuse me. I'm the only real person here.

I believe this is an unsolved philosophical puzzle. But do you choose to believe that you are the center of the universe, or that everyone is just like you and you should work together with them? Occam's Razor says it's much more likely that other people are like you.

You were born as a result of other living beings. Their existence proves life existed prior to you, so you cannot be the center of the universe. However, that was an excellent Freudian analysis of the child ego who always wants to believe they're the center of the universe, and in particular of their parents' universe.

Nobody's ever aware of when their life started especially when they're first born. Not even as a kid you're aware of it because you're not yet exposed to the idea of life and existence. Nobody's the center of the universe.

Life starts even before that point, some say. In norse culture, the child wasn't born until the father took him/her on his knee, sprinkled him/her with water and gave them their name. That's when they started to exist for other, as a distinct person, with individuality. The first hours/days were just a prolongation of the womb state.
The mental life is one thing. That may start with your first memories (even unconscious). The biological life of you, as a creature, starts when you're about three months, I guess, I can't remember the exact time. The life of the spirit may have started thousands of years ago, if you believe in that (and if you don't, you're craazy :) ).
Center of the Universe, on the other hand, you're definetly not it, dude. Cause, if there's one, I am it :p. At least, that's what my mother said.

If life starts when awareness begins, does that mean the creatures such as worms which lack brains and could not possibly be aware are dead? If you were not alive before awareness what exactly were you? As for being the center of the universe, so you are, at least from your perspective, so what?

Life starts at the moment of conception. You probably are the center of your own universe, but the center of the true universe is God and if you need proof read your Bible or wait for Judgment Day.

Life begins long before awareness sets in.

And you can't possibly be the centre of the universe because I am, and there can be only one of us.

You can be the "off to one side of the centre of the universe" because I feel quite generous this day :o)
