Well I think I understand what you might be thinking as an opinion of how the American government thinks of people or groups they see as a menace to them. Just because these people are fighting with might and finished fighting with words and facts makes them terrorist group. I too think that your statement is a true one and to each his own opinion. Other groups who are fighting in the same country are also called war guerillas,or the bla bla govt. of so and so or etc., but because they are not a threat to themselves they are not called terrorist but do the same thing.
