Ooh, ooh, been there, done that and it took me about 3 years to know how to put it all up to the test. Hey, if it doesn't match line for line, with this, it is NOT love. It is something else: a wannabe, like lust or infatuation. I learned the hard way, but you don't have to. Peace!

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. ((read verses 9 ~ 12 when you get the chance. Here's 13. Best wishes to you:)) 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

IF WHAT YOU FEEL DOESN'T DO ALL OF THIS, it ain't love, honey.

Lust is purely sexual attraction. Rarely lasts long. Go home take a cold shower and forget it.
Love on the other hand picks you up and holds you when you are crying, when you are a wreck, when you can't hold it together, love does it for you. Love is going the extra mile to make another happy. Like making those special cookies he likes, because he had a hard day at work. It is him returning the favor. (Cookies aside...) It is picking up his dirty underwear without complaining for the 110th time, because he thinks that 2 inches from the hamper is perfectly fine...

**But it is really about Respect. Sincerity. Honesty. Trust. Intimacy. The rest of it is just an outward sign of these things.**

If someone doesn't love you back at least as much as you love them.... you're walking down a long hard and rocky road. And trust me, you cannot change them. Don't even bother. If you have someone that does all those things then you are a lucky person. Hang on to them.

Wow this one is a little hard. Well lust to me is more a feeling of need more physical. Love is more emotional it is all feelings put together take the physical away do you still want it? It is probably love then. i hope this helps somewhat.

That's simple. When you fall in love with someone, you stop lusting after anyone else. You might find them attractive, but even if Jessica Alba or Heath Ledger asked you to go to bed with them, you'd have no problem saying no. When you're in lust, you need sex constantly. When you're in love, you don't.

Love - A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

Lust - Intense or unrestrained sexual craving.
