Hey Guys im confused now..

I have a AMD64 Cpu that is 3200+ now i thought its 3.2Ghz but it says in brackets (2.0Ghz) howcome?

whats the speed?

That's a 64 bit processor, so don't worry about it, the old ones used to be 32 bit technology. You've now got twice the speed simply because it's handling twice the bits. However, all AMD processors show the 2,0 Ghz in brackets. No big deal.

the 3200+ is a model, the speed is 2 GHz.

Yes, you feel cheated, but the AMD folks were trying to say that their 2.0 GHz CPU is as fast as Intel's 3.2 GHz CPU, because they do more stuff with each cycle.

Mine says the same thing as yours I guess it's like jigz said it's the model not the speed.
