You were born in Spain? Well, some of the Conquistadors brought back with them Aztec slaves, so you may be a descendent of one of the Aztec slaves. Mexicans are merely the culture derived from the Aztec and Spanish blood lines.

The Moors conquered Spain and occupied it for hundreds of years. The Moors were from Africa and were dark skinned. You are correct that the Spanish people were once light skinned but when the the Moors took over they were doing most of the breeding and now you are who you are because of this. The same thing happened in Sicily. Anyway that's old news that no one can do a darn thing about nor should they if they could. Be proud of who you are, you've no reason to feel bad; you are just what your supposed to be. I hope your okay with being the person you are and waste none of your precious time mourning what will never be, it all goes by so quickly; then it's gone. Once we're here we should enjoy the ride, in my opinion at any rate. Good luck in all you do, take care.

I had it defined to me this way with the aid of a Mexican gentleman who works with me. Mexicans with dark epidermis are actual Mexican Indians or community South human beings. they have not got Spanish ancestors yet have been conquered with the aid of the Spanish. many don't even talk Spanish and nonetheless talk their very own language, that's the case with the guy i comprehend. they're Mayan, or Aztec or different community South American. as a results of fact Spain invaded their united states does not lead them to descended from Spanish in any respect. The lighter skinned Mexicans ARE of Spanish descent or mixed with the community South human beings.

New's flash!! not all Spainards are blonde hair and blue eyes. Many of them are of various shades of light (pertaining the complexion) with jet black wavy to curly hair. I have Aunts, and cousins from Spain that are blonde and brunette, same culture just different parents!
Maybe you are mixed with another culture, for instance, you maybe a distance decendant of the African culture, many Africans migrated to spain and have countles children of (All) shades.
Maybe you are just ashamed of the way you look! Tuff cookies because you are stuck with you! not unless you do the Michael Jackson thing! He's ashamed of his complexion too!
Read about the entire history of people of Spain, it's going to take a while, but you will then see why you came out the way you did!!

some of those answers are correct but a lot of them include wrong information.
most of what you are hearing about the moors is correct. they are of african descent and they came to europe, not to take it over, but just exploring and teaching. europe was a big stop for them because the people there were basically still living in caves. the moors are the foundation of european life today.
your skin may be a legacy of moorish blood - intellectuals, teachers, explorers etc etc etc. it's good that you ask but you shouldn't ask as if something is wrong. you are probably different from the typical spaniard. but everything is right with you.
you should try to seek out your ancestors. there may be a lot for you to learn.

I'll try to answer it as honestly as I can. Your ancestor must be dark also. As what others have said its either you are a pure Aztec descendant or a grandparents of yours could have married one. Anyways, color is not important its whats inside that counts. If it bothers you alot then look to those children born with one leg, blind and have physical deformity. They try to adjust and survived. Be thankful that you don,t have any physical affliction. Most people are not happy with what they have. Just be happy and love the people around you and maybe you'll be glade you where not born with one leg.

eh? Have you been to the SOUTH of Spain. Everybody is dark, it's 6 miles from Africa. It just so happens all the Spanish who went to America were not from this part of Spain.

Besides possibly being decended of Conquistadors and their Aztec/Inca slaves, you could have Moorish blood; they were dark skinned, and were in Spain for a long while.
