best way to improve laguage..... get some little stickers like the ones they use on envelopes. sit down with a stack of them and a pen. look around, everything you see write it down on a sticker. now write the foriegn word for the item. works great. stick them everywhere.
window: sp. ventana, to russian: окно, to italien finestra, to greek παράθυρο, to german Fenster. 5 right there. try it.

Practice a lot, and never give up learning. I speak several languages, and loook at various language news programs via the internet, and read books and magazines in several languages.
Try to find a native speaker of the languag you're after in your area, usually they like talking to you in their language, it's a great exercise.

if Ur talking about English speaking! then no option than reading comics which contents dialogs, if overall growth then classic lit rocks, but even new novels r necessary for vocabulary!
