Surfer Rosa, from the Pixies and Operation: Mindcrime from Queensrÿche. Perfect, smooth and well-balanced from start to end.

Well, since I love music and own over 500 CDs, it's hard to pick just one as "the best". But since I'm feeling lazy and don't want to list every band and every genre that I love, I'll just tell you one of my favorites: ANYTHING by the Dance Hall Crashers is great to listen to.

It's almost impossible to pick just one, but I'll never forget hearing Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division for the first time. It's a song of such bare emotion and when you combine it with the tragic circumstances of Ian Curtis' death, it's just the most beautiful song ever written.
"why is the bedroom so cold? you turn away on your side,
is my timing that flawed, our respect runs so dry,
but there's still this appeal that we've kept through our lives,
and love, love will tear us apart, again..."
I think I just like depressing music!

Detour by Workbench Music. I heard one of the songs off it called City Lights last year while skimming through ambient online radios, and absolutely fell in love with the sound. It also represents the feelings I have towards my fiancé perfectly. :)

the best I've ever listened to is called BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH (Entre El Cielo y La Tierra)
by Elior Cymbler, from Colombia.
it is in HEBREW, SPANISH and English.
(3 CDS in a box)
got for my 40th birthday and the VERY FIRST note I heard immediately calmed my heart.
warmly recommended!

Michael Jackson - Bad.
A classic album. I literally 'wore-out' the original I had on tape cassette so was glad when it came out on CD ;-) Reminds me of holiday-ing as a kid whilst in the south of France.
