I'm talking about the population as a whole here - if you take all of the various connection speeds people have, from dial up to top speed broadband, what would the average speed be for a home user? I have read that around 50% of people are still using dial up

1 mb seems to be the normal start up speed

Pretty quick if you use broadband, dial up is a thing of the past almost, too frustrating

Depends what you're subscribed too - dial-up is 56k, broadband is 256kps, 512kps, 1mb, 2mb etc etc

dont know about the average speed but i
and many of my friends are getting speeds of
4mb and higher , with bt total bb

it depends wether u'r using broadband or dial up etc.
