I saw it for the first time when I was about 14 years old when my parents bought it on DVD. I watched it WITH them. I thought the movie was strangely facsinating, but at the same time I was slightly weirded out by how at certain times during the movie, my parents would shout things out at the TV. They both saw it when it was in theaters and the whole audience responces was big.

Ya, I first saw it in Pittsburgh, Penn back about 1978 or so. It was then playing every Sat at midnight and many of the customers would dress up as the characters. And then during the movie, we would react to the cues of the characters. Like we would throw things such as spools of toilet paper or confetti during the wedding scene. The audience was proud about how many times individuals had gone and many had memorized the lines and would mimick the actors. Some of the dressed-up mimicks would get on the stage in front of the screen. It was hilarious to see young men dressed in stockings like Frankie.
I went several times and then arranged to take some friends from the office to a showing on Halloween.
I also like the music a lot. This movie launched the careers of serveral actors, including Susan Sanandon and Tim Curry. And of course, there was Meat Loaf.
I'm 57 and still can get a chuckle out of watching it.

I've seen it 50+ times & anytime it's here in Richmond I go see it again!!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!! I dressed as Janet for the Halloween show one year - lab coat, half slip & heels - nearly froze my rear end offffff! but it was SO worth it! I know the soundtracks from both the stage production & the movie - I adore Tim Curry & love to hear him sing or see him act in anything!
Thought Riff did an excellent turn as the bad guy in Ever After with Drew Barrymore!! My fav scene in RHPS, the elevator is descending & Brad (azzhole) & Janet (nice) are trying to escape after watching the Time Warp - when it reached bottom & the door opened & there you see Frank, in all his glory!!!! I screamed the first time - it was just too much for me!! OMG - those were the great old days!!!!! Toucha toucha toucha touch me!!!!!
oh - p.s. - the ONLY way to watch is in a movie theater with an audience who knows the cues, the lines, the gags, etc - without all of that, the movie itself sucks!! It NEEDS the other things to make it a success!!

OMFG. I have. I am 13, and have loved it since I was 5. I fell in love and work with a cast, when I'm old enough, I'll be in it.
I collect countless things from the movie, and I have tons of stuff.
I worship this movie and I'm actually struggling on how to put all my passion for this film and everything related with it into a small answer that won't go on longer than a Stephen King book.
Seriously, I DON'T play around with this movie. It is my life and that's all I can say.

"Have you seen 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'?"
Unfortunately! It's got to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Even the music was f_ckin' annoying! I'd rather do my taxes or get a root canal at the dentist than watch that piece of $hit film again!

I saw it about 4 years ago, and I still can't decide if I liked it or not. When I watched it I don't know whether it gave my life meaning or whether life lost all meaning. The cast was kind of wierd but I liked it. Barry Bostwik(Spin City: TV), Meat Loaf(Fight Club), Tim Curry(Scary Movie 2), Susan Sarandon(Thelma & Louise.) I guess I may have liked it, but I'm not sure.

It's one of the best movies ever! You know what's even better? A screening of the movie where they perform scenes from the movie while it's going on! Funny and fun!!

I have mixed reviews on it..I think the acting is done well in it,but the story lines and story in general, frankly sucked..Not sure why a certain generation finds it "fabulous",I thought it was rather gross when it came to the "gay" portrayal, but thats just my opinion..so to each their own!
